Banh Cuon

Banh Cuon

Bánh cuốn is a rice noodle roll made from a thin, wide sheet of steamed fermented rice batter filled with seasoned ground pork, minced wood ear mushroom, and minced shallots. This food is a traditional dish originated from Vietnam. Sides for this dish usually consist of chả lụa (Vietnamese pork sausage), sliced cucumber, and bean sprouts, with the dipping sauce called nước chấm as a dipping sauce and with a plate of fresh green-ery – typically mint, bean sprouts, coriander – to add another layer of texture and flavor.
